The Lost Language of Cranes
(1992, 90 min, Great Britain, Nigel Finch)
A gay son, Philip, comes out to his parents Owen (Brian Cox) and Rose (Eileen Atkins), only to find out later that his dad is also gay. This is a very well-done story about the consequences of lies and deceit within what seems to be a normal family. The mother reacts like most would, feeling like her whole marriage has been a complete lie. Powerful.
